High-performance flame-sprayed coatings for surfaces exposed to extreme heat and thermal shock. Ideal for power and process infrastructure
Technical Specifications and Applications
Key Specifications:
The PHC (Polymer Hot Coat) series includes advanced thermoplastic powder coatings designed for extreme industrial and environmental challenges, applied exclusively via flame spray.
PHC A: A versatile general-purpose grade that offers robust chemical resistance, excellent UV and weather durability, and flexibility down to –50 °C. It is certified for food contact and potable water use, making it suitable for sensitive applications where purity is essential.
PHC AH: A modified formulation of PHC A, developed specifically for large or high-thermal-mass metal components. It enables the application of thicker coatings (>1 mm) without sagging or cracking, even when substrates retain significant heat during spraying.
PHC Plus: The highest-performing variant, engineered for marine, offshore, and corrosive industrial environments. It achieves C5-M corrosion rating (>15 years of protection) and resists salt spray, continuous immersion, and thermal cycling. PHC Plus remains stable up to ~75 °C in wet conditions and down to –60 °C. It also exhibits anti-biofouling properties, inhibiting bacterial growth and minimizing surface friction in dynamic water environments.
None of the PHC coatings require a primer on metal. All variants are applied in the field using flame spray systems, enabling fast, durable application even in demanding locations.
Typical Applications & Surfaces:
PHC A: Ideal for metal structures in chemical plants, electrical insulation supports, water infrastructure, and food processing facilities, where multi-chemical resistance and hygienic certification are essential.
PHC AH: Suited for heavy-duty steel parts, such as industrial tanks, casting molds, large-diameter pipelines, and structural steel components requiring extra thick, high-temperature resistant coatings. Especially valuable when components retain residual heat or need >1000 μm protection.
PHC Plus: Tailored for offshore platforms, ship decks and hulls, marine pipelines, seawater pumps, coastal locks, and submerged components exposed to saltwater, wave abrasion, and thermal fluctuations. Its exceptional adhesion prevents delamination in wet heat, and its biofilm-resistant surface supports long-term performance with minimal maintenance.
